The MMA class is now up against the fence! 10th Planet Burbank installed 20' of padded wall and cage fence this month. training against the fence is critical for those guys and gals training for MMA fights.

More than a dozen competitors from 10th Planet Burbank competed at the Gracie Nationals during the Fitness Expo at the Los Angeles Convention Center. Our men, women, and kids met up with our friends from 10th Planet Vista, El Paso, Riverside, and Headquarters, along with Eddie Bravo, for an awesome day of Jiu Jitsu competition!

Several students from 10th Planet Burbank fought in a muay thai smoker at the Muay Thai Academy of America in North Hollywood. The fighters competed in a traditional setting in a boxing ring surrounded by a couple hundred spectators. The competition and technique displayed was fantastic. Many of our guys are competing for the first time, and did a great job. |

We are currently offering a free women's introductory jiu jitsu class one Sunday each month. If you've been intimidated or uncomfortable with the idea grappling in a coed class, or are simply curious about Jiu-Jitsu and martial arts, this is a great way to get introduced to the sport. We're very pleased to close out the summer by announcing some exciting changes at 10th Planet Burbank. Scott "Epstein" Einstein is running the Jiu Jitsu and MMA/Competition team programs, we are adding MMA and Competition classes to the schedule at no extra cost for the Jiu Jitsu or Unlimited programs, Erwann Marshall is returning to teach regularly scheduled classes, Rebel Yoga is here to stay, Jason Eisner teaches daytime classes, Kru Victor Acosta ramps up sparring, smokers, and competition in the Muay Thai program, Amir Allam returns from his world travels to resume teaching Wrestling class, and Conor Huen will be teaching the new MMA classes with Scott through September and October!
